Public Poetry’s summer series drew standing-room-only crowds who came to hear Thay Alaffita, Amanda Auchter, D.F. Brown, Jane Creighton, Stephen Gros, Kurt Heinzelman, Erica Lehrer, Thad Logan, Karyna McGlynn, Jonathan Moody, JoeP (Joseph Palmore) and Oscar C. Peña. Here are a few photos of how it was.
At the September 1 event, we tried out something new in our Special Guest slot; inviting Public Poetry alumni to return to read one poem each. (L to R) Sarah Cortez, Ken Jones and Elisa Garza started us off. it was a hit, so you can expect future alumni readings once each season!
